No words, no perfect sentences can describe the pain that’s invisible to human’s eye. Behind the smiles, we cry. Behind the soaring achievements, we’re lost. As painful as it may seem, human beings, by nature, can adapt to situations to save ourselves from danger. Criticisms. Judgments. Below-the-belt insults. To where we find ourselves safe, there we will go. No matter what.
When we feel psychologically unsafe, our brain tells our system to run away. Again, to save ourselves. But then, the more we do it, the more we lose ourselves, too. Now, we’re confused.
It’s not our fault. Well, not totally. Because we’re still human beings and we’re supposed to exercise more of our consciousness and tap into our most vulnerable side, where we’re most uncomfortable. You certainly can’t blame yourself for developing unhealthy coping mechanisms to survive, but you’re to be blamed if you continue to live like that and die with it.
As I said, we’re the most conscious living creatures in the animal kingdom. Yet, we’re losers in that department, though it’s the most basic. Today, more than ever, we need to find courage to tap into the most untouched, most avoided areas of ourselves to look at and see the chaos from a different perspective. Not all of us can muster our most courageous selves to know and even to accept who we are. We seem too weak to defend ourselves from foolish and ignorant people who only knows how to step on people’s toes and seek pleasure from it.
What you did @UrviChinkadar is brave! Kudos.
